Herb Tuttle has in excess of twenty years of engineering, management and consulting experience in a broad range of manufacturing, assembly and distribution fields for various Fortune 500 companies, including Colgate-Palmolive, Gulf & Western and Sara Lee Corporation. He has recently co-authored a chapter for a Handbook of Industrial Automation. Herb started as a lecturer in the Engineering Management program in 1993 and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Engineering Management at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.

John Bricklemyer

John Bricklemyer has more than 26 years of progressive experience in a variety of industrial settings. His experiences include positions in general management, operations management, engineering management, purchasing, product management, and engineering. He has worked for a Fortune 500 company and has managed mid-sized departments and small entrepreneurial subsidiaries. He holds a master's degree in international management from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird), a master's degree in industrial engineering (engineering management option) from Rochester Institute of Technology, and a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from The Pennsylvania State University.

John Conard

John Conard has 25 years of manufacturing experience in a wide variety of roles at two production plants. The first one was Procter and Gamble's home laundry detergent plant in St. Louis, MO, making Tide, Comet, and Cascade. The second plant, and his current employer, is the ICL plant (formerly known as FMC and Astaris) which makes phosphorus-based chemicals for the pharmaceutical, semi-conductor, and food industries. John has an extremely wide variety of job responsibilities in almost every type of engineering/supervisor/resource role that a chemical manufacturing site has to offer. These responsibilities include leadership for safety, maintenance, environment, production, financial, project engineering, process engineering and corporate-wide initiatives. John has been extensively involved in implementing high-performance work systems in union locations. John is currently serving on the International Phosphorus Emergency Response Team as a member of the board of directors.

Dr. Ray Dick

Dr. Dick has over 17 years experience in engineering, management, and business development positions. His experiences range from systems engineering and technology insertion to product management within a sales and marketing context, engineering and operational management, and small business entrepreneurship. He is currently a Senior Engineer in the National Secure Manufacturing Center, a business unit of the Department of Energy's Kansas City Plant.

Diana Fiddick

Diana Fiddick is currently a Vendor Manager II at Embarq Logistics, soon to be part of KGP. Her primary responsibilities are product quality and TL9000/ISO 9001. She is an ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer and Certified Quality Auditor. Diana has over twelve years telecommunications experience and eleven years with engineering consultant firms. She has received a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry Education from University of Missouri, Columbia, Bachelors of Science in Chemistry from University of Missouri, KC, and a Master of Science in Engineering Management from University of Kansas. She has been an examiner and team lead for the Kansas Award for Excellence.

Mr. Flanagan is currently Vice President and Transportation Group Director of HNTB Corporation in Kansas City. He is responsible for the office's transportation planning and highway/civil design groups, as well as the design services group (structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering). He has served as HNTB's firm-wide Project Management Operations Director and is involved in numerous transportation, motorsports, and Corps of Engineers projects. Terry is also a 1986 EMGT graduate.

Michael Katzman has more than 30 years of progressive experience in environmental and geotechnical applications and has managed local offices for several engineering-consulting firms. A geologist by training, he was an Assistant Instructor at Michigan State University and an Assistant Professor at Denison University. He is currently Senior Environmental Geologist for the Kansas City Power and Light (KCPL).

With 24 years of management experience in manufacturing, health care, and human resources, Mike Kelly shares practical concepts and skills to enhance the curriculum. His leadership roles with Procter & Gamble, the Midwest Transplant Network, and Honeywell International provide a rich background in operations, engineering, quality, risk management, learning, and organization development. Mike has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from KU and is also a graduate of KU's EMGT program, earning his M.S. in Engineering Management in 1993.

Mr. Richardson is Sr. Attorney with Burns & McDonnell Engineering Company, Inc.
He has an MBA and is a Registered Professional Engineer. His engineering management and legal experience have focused on legal aspects of the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction process, Contract Negotiations and Administration, Claims and Litigation Management, Project Management, and Project Controls. He currently serves as the Chair for the Missouri Bar Construction Law Committee.

Terry Sullivan

Terry Sullivan has thirteen years of engineering and project management experience at various wireless telecommunication companies. This experience includes satellite communication projects, microwave radio projects, and in-tunnel/in-building wireless projects. Terry earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Texas A & M University and a Master of Science in Engineering Management from the University of Kansas.

Ms. Tetmeyer has management and engineering experience in the manufacturing and information technology fields. This experience includes the implementation of manufacturing IT systems, CAD based manufacturing and business solutions, and manufacturing plant management. Currently, she plans, implement and manages a IT process for the Engineering Management department.

Annette holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, a B.S. in Production Management, and a M.S. in Engineering Management. Of particular interest are process improvement, quality and integrating computer systems with management and manufacturing systems. Annette has over 15 years experience in manufacturing, consulting, education and information technology. She has also lectured for the Engineering Management program for several years.

Dr. Kraft has over 33 years experience in higher education and in the private sector. He was a faculty member and Dean of Engineering at the University of Dayton (1965-1978). Dr. Kraft was Dean of Engineering and Vice-President of the Center for Research, Inc. at The University of Kansas (1978-1984) and subsequently Director of the Engineering Management program until May 1998. He is also a 1998 recipient of the Kemper award, the highest award given by KU for outstanding teaching and leadership. More recently, his research interests include parameters for assessment of innovative characteristics of companies. He has authored over 60 papers and conference proceedings.

In 2005, Dr. Kraft was awarded the Distinguished Engineering Service Award. The Distinguished Engineering Service Award is the highest honor bestowed by the School of Engineering. Awards are made on the basis of an individual's contribution to the theories and practices of engineering, research and development in new fields of engineering, or direction of an organization that has made exceptional contributions in design, production and development. The recognition of engineers who have made such important contributions to their profession inspires young engineering students to excel and provides sterling examples of the achievements they can aspire to in their careers.

Dr. Zerwekh has been with The University of Kansas since 1970 and has held a variety of administrative posts at KU since 1980. In addition to his recent appointments as Engineering Management Director and Associate Dean for Kansas City Engineering Programs, he has served as Associate Vice Chancellor in Research and Public Service, Associate Dean of Engineering and Acting Chair of Mechanical Engineering.
