Admission Requirements

To enter KU's Master of Science in Engineering Management program, applicants must have:

  1. Bachelor of Science undergraduate degree in engineering or related science from an accredited institution.
    Technology degrees are considered only with a very high (e.g. 3.8) GPA and substantial experience (8-10 years).
  2. A 3.0 or higher grade point average (on a 4.0 scale). Admission may be granted on a provisional basis if your GPA is between 2.50 and 2.99.
  3. Two year's full-time, post-undergraduate work experience in a technological environment.
  4. International students must also meet the English, visa/I20, and financial support requirements described in the "How to Apply" section.

Engineering Management (EMGT) does not require the GRE or GMAT


Students can enroll in EMGT classes as non-degree seeking without being (or before being) admitted to the program as degree seeking. Non-degree seeking students only need to fill out the non-degree seeking application, submit the application fee and submit their official transcript(s). Students can take up to 6 hours as non-degree seeking.
