The Mission of the Master of Science in Engineering Management program is to prepare technical managers from fields of engineering, science, math and computer science to manage more effectively within technologically based organizations and to promote entrepreneurial activities in the formation of new business enterprises.
To work continuously towards providing high quality education and expanding the EMGT program by offering courses which reflect the latest trends in Management, expanding the faculty base to include a mix of academic and industry experienced people, promote the program to increase student enrollment and make EMGT the ultimate choice of graduate degree for graduate engineers in the Kansas City metro area and also focus on degree completion / traveling students, to expand geographically, at competitive tuition rates.
Specifically, to provide cost competitive graduate level education in EMGT, both live and through distance education, to students in Kansas and nationally with technical education qualifications and industry experience of over 2 years, delivered by faculty committed to the advancement of student learning and help students achieve leadership roles in their career.
